Jeanne C. DiLavore

Jeanne C. DiLavore passed away on March 7, 2020, at Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Boston with her family by her side. She was born Jeanne Caryl Gibson in Lowell, MA on October 2, 1942, to the late John L. Gibson and Helen (Dodge) Gibson.

Jeanne graduated from Lowell High School and later obtained her nursing credentials from Northern Essex Community College. She lived in Methuen and worked for over twenty-five years at Holy Family Hospital as a respiratory therapist. Since December 2018, she lived happily in retirement with her husband in their new home in Hampstead, NH near her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James P. DiLavore; her children, Jeffrey Ares of Hampstead, NH and Robyn (Ares) Gent of Atkinson, NH; her beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Cadel, and Jeffrey Gent; her step-son, James T. DiLavore and his wife Laura, their children, James E. DiLavore and his wife LeeAnne, and Joseph DiLavore of TX. She is also survived by her sister, Donna M. Kmetz and her husband Mike of NJ; brothers, John “Jack” L. Gibson, Jr. and his wife Susan of FL, Kyle R. Gibson and his wife Lorrie of NC. She loved and adored her cousins, Terry and Nancy; nieces and nephews, Lorie, Michelle, Sheila, Jessica, Jonathan, Gregory, Alyssa, and their families.

For private family reasons and also due to the current Coronavirus concerns, there will not be a memorial service. Jeanne was a passionate supporter of animal rescue agencies and their missions.
