Janusz Dowgiert

Janusz “Johnny” Dowgiert, 54, of Salem, NH passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Jan and Bronislawa (Kirpsza) Dowgiert.

Johnny was a graduate of the Greater Lawrence Technical School and was a carpenter and worked for the local carpenters union. He loved spending time with his children and watching them play sports.

Predeceased by his brother, Richard and sister, Krystina Dowgiert, Johnnie is survived by former wife, Karen (Grillo) Dowgiert of Methuen; children, Lexie N. and John B. Dowgiert, both of Methuen; brothers, Tadeusz Dowgiert and his companion, Christine Decubellis of Salem, NH, Joseph Dowgiert and his wife, Patricia of Salem, NH, Eugene Dowgiert of Sanford, ME, and Mark Dowgiert and his wife, Amanda of Hampton, NH; sisters, Teresa Lemiux and her companion, Dave Vallone of Salem, NH, Helena Green and her husband, William of Salem, NH, Krystina Lekarcyk and her husband, Kevin of Derry, NH, and Margaret Spires and her husband, Wayne of Salem, NH. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
