James P. Fleming

James P. Fleming, 87, of Methuen passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital.  Born in Lawrence, MA, he was one of six children born to the late John F. and Agnes (Williams) Fleming.

Raised and educated in Lawrence, Jim was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1948. He joined the US Navy serving on a destroyer in Korea and around the world. After his naval service, he started working at the phone company where he met and married the love of his life, Patricia (Hanlon) Fleming in 1960. Jim retired from the phone company after a long career there.

He is predeceased by his wife of fifty-seven years, Patricia A. (Hanlon) Fleming.

Jim is survived by his two sons, James Fleming and his wife, Christine of Auburn, NH, and John Fleming of Methuen; sister, Ann Liversidge of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Patrick Fleming of Dover, NH, Kelly Fleming of Guilford, CT, and Paige Fleming of Methuen; loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 8:30-10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen.  Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
