Retired Special Agent, Enrico J. “Henry” Foderaro, 86, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 10, 2020, after a period of declining health at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center. Henry was born July 18, 1933, in Lawrence, MA, to the late Vito and Raffaela Foderaro.

Henry graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1950 and earned his BBA and MBA from Suffolk University. He enlisted in the US Coast Guard in 1952 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955. He would continue his life of service first as a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service and then the Bureau of Narcotics & Dangerous Drugs (DEA) finally retiring as an ATF Special Agent in 1988. His dedicated and distinguished service to his country spanned over thirty years. After his retirement, he spent a number of years doing background investigations for the State Department and also served on the Methuen Licensing Board for almost eighteen years.

Henry’s hobbies included cooking, golfing, and attending any event that involved his children and grandchildren. He was there at a moment’s notice and supported and loved them unconditionally. He was a long-time member of St. Monica Parish in Methuen as well as St. Vincent de Paul Society and was a man who above all valued his family and his faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ann B. (Comerford) Foderaro of Methuen; his sons, Steven and his wife, Sheila, David and his wife, Katherine, all of Methuen, and his son, John Donovan of Vero Beach, FL; the beloved Foderaro grandchildren, Kaylee, Olivia, Anthony, Gabriella, and Nicholas; his brother, Francis “Tony” Foderaro of Methuen; and his sister, Katherine and her husband, Ronald Jesser. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his son, Mark H. Foderaro; his brothers, James and Vincenzo Foderaro; and his sister, Elizabeth (Alice) Privitera.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Donations in Henry’s memory may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA, 01844.
