Helen M. Rembis

July 17, 1926 ~ September 3, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old


Helen Mary Rembis, 91, passed unto the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rembis was born on July 17, 1926 at home to the late Joaphim and Elizabeth Hutnick. She graduated from Lawrence High School and retired from Raytheon, West Andover.
She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Francis Parish in Dracut and the former Holy Trinity Parish, Lawrence.

Helen enjoyed day trips with her friends, polka dancing, summers at the lake and cooking her famous veal cutlets and holiday meals. Her most memorable times were spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Rembis.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Goossens and her husband Robert of Methuen and Andrea Nicholson and her husband John of Dracut; sister, Edna Tremblay of Methuen. She also leaves sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was the loving Bubci of five grandchildren, Jennifer Manry and her husband Tony of Haverhill, Brian Goossens and his wife Amanda of Sandown, NH, James Goossens and his girlfriend Ayla Jean of Salem, NH, John Andrew Nicholson of Dracut, and Heather Nicholson and her fiancé Leandro Lins of Billerica, MA. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Madelyn, and Amelia Manry all of Haverhill, and Macey and Reese Goossens both of Sandown, NH.

She was predeceased by her sister Julia Brousseau and her five brothers, William, Michael, Paul, Peter and Joseph.

Our greatest thanks to the Merrimack Valley Hospice team who assisted in her home care.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. Burial will follow at the Polish National Cemetery, Methuen.
