Harry W. “Papa” Parker, 84, of Salem, NH, formerly a longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in his home. His passing comes on the wedding anniversary to his late loving wife, Linda M. Parker. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Everett to the late Elmer and Anna (Drysdale) Parker-Stanley.

Harry married the love of his life, Linda M. Parker and together they raised four children in Haverhill. In their many years together they enjoyed holidays and winters in their favorite vacation spot in Aruba. Anyone who knew “Papa” know that he cherished above all his beloved grandchildren, he enjoyed nothing more than watching all of their school sports games, never missed a sporting event, gymnastics meet, special occasion, or opportunity to teach them to fish…they were truly his reason for living! He worked for Jaffarian Volvo and also worked as a security officer for Tuscan Village Real Estate Development. Harry loved playing the lottery, and never met a card game in which he didn’t want to participate. He frequently went to Foxwoods with his wife and friends and loved the craps table, he was an avid fan of all New England professional sports, most especially his favorite team the Boston Red Sox. Harry enjoyed keeping up with current events, playing Bocce and in his later years he enjoyed simply spending time reminiscing with his friends “sharing the years gone by” over a morning coffee and donut at Market Basket.

Harry will be remembered for his story telling, feisty spirit, wit, sense of humor, and love of his grandchildren.

Predeceased by his wife, Linda M. (Mascaro) Parker, Harry is survived by his children: Belinda A. Parker of Delray Beach, FL, Tammy L. Parker of Haverhill, MA, Edward C. Parker of Plano, TX, and Samantha J. Faro and her husband, Joseph P. Faro of Seabrook, NH. He was the grandfather of Joseph Harry Faro, Maximilian Parker Faro, Olivia Rose Faro, Brianna Nicole Parker, and Jordan Robert Parker; his dear siblings: Alice Stanley-Newell and her husband, Henry Newell of Ogunquit, ME, the late Natalie Duggan and her husband, Thomas Duggan of Wilmington, MA, Doug Parker of Tewksbury, MA, Bud Stanley and his wife, Donna of Sarasota, FL, the late Elmer Parker and the late Charles Stanley. Harry is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, as well as his faithful devoted friend and companion, “Oreo” his black and white tabby cat, whom he loved so dearly.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and thank the friends and staff at Greystone Farm for their compassion and care during his last few years.

Due to the current situation of the Coronavirus and everyone’s safety, the family respectfully has decided to have a private service at this time.
