Hans G. Ruecker

Hans G. Ruecker, 79, of Boxford, passed away at Penacook Place Nursing Home in Haverhill on May 27, 2018 with his loving family at his side.

Hans was born on September 24, 1938 in Aussig, Sudetenland area of Czechoslovakia, which borders Germany. He grew up in Nuremburg, Germany.

He was a skilled shoemaker and had life-long friends from his school days at the Deutsche Schuhfachschule in Pirmasens, Germany.

Hans loved taking walks in nature and saying hello to everyone he encountered. He loved making people laugh. He always had a kind word of praise for everyone he met.

He traveled the world and worked in Germany, the US, Taiwan and Mexico. He was integral to the success of the Nike brand during the Michael Jordan years working as Product Developer for the Air Jordan product. He also worked for US Shoe, Florsheim, Adidas, Fila, Otabo.

Hans is survived by his wife, Elise Ruecker and four children, Carol, Marc, Peter, and Christine He was also a proud Opa to Asher, Xander, Bob and Paul.

Thanks to the staff and all of Hans’ friends at Ashland Farm and Penacook Place who took such great care of him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM in Cataudella Funeral Home, following visiting hours. Interment will be held at St. Mary - Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
