Grace L. Perocchi

Grace L. (Cody) Perocchi, 97, of Methuen, MA, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, just shy of her 98th birthday.   Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Charles and Jane (Henrick) Cody.

Grace was raised and educated in Lawrence and graduated from St. Mary High School.  She worked as an administrative secretary at Tyer Rubber, Raytheon, Bolton-Emerson Steel, and Copilabs.

Grace was predeceased by her son, Mark J. Elia, her second husband, Anthony Perocchi and her sister, Mary Arsenault, Grace's first marriage, to the late Joseph Elia, Sr., ended in 1964. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Elia) Coco, of Methuen, Joseph J. Elia, Jr., of West Newton, and Mark J. Elia, of Lemoore, CA.  She also leaves five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Monica Church in Methuen after the lifting of social distancing owing to the coronavirus pandemic.  Grace will be missed by all for her quiet ways and devotion to God.
