Grace Fiorante

Grace (Faro) Fiorante, 78, of Lawrence passed away September 28, 2018 at Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen surrounded by loving family and friends after a heroic battle with cancer. Born in Via Grande, Sicily she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Giuseppina Licciardello Faro.

Raised and educated in Italy, Grace came to Lawrence at the age of 16. She loved and devoted her life to her family and adored spending time and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked as a seamstress at Grieco Brothers and also owned and operated a laundromat in Lawrence in her earlier ventures. Grace was a member of St. Rita’s Sodality and a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church. She had a boundless passion for sewing, cooking and tending to her garden. Grace loved to entertain and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends serving her culinary creations.

Grace was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Fiorante and her sister, Concetta Faro.

Grace is survived by her sons, Joseph and his wife, Carol of Methuen, John and his wife, Victoria of Newbury, Anthony and his wife, Kimberly of Methuen, and James of Haverhill; brother, Joseph Faro and his wife, Rose of Atkinson, NH; sisters, Josie Scalia of Lawrence, Sara Faro and Maria Faro, both of Viagrande, Sicily, grandchildren, Joseph Fiorante and his wife, Briana of Methuen, Stephanie Fiorante of Burbank CA, Christopher Fiorante of Methuen, Caitlin Fiorante of Methuen, and Alexander Fiorante of Newbury; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Michael; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Alfio Society, 20 Common St., Lawrence, MA 01840.
