Gioacchino “Jack” DiPietro, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2020, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
Born on November 3, 1932 in Pettineo, Sicily, Jack was the son of the late Giuseppe and Benedetta (Russo) DiPietro. He immigrated to United States from Sicily in the 1970s and worked as a technician for Digital Corporation in Salem, NH until his retirement. Jack enjoyed staying very active by gardening, hiking, hunting, and he loved animals. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; his greatest joys in life came from quality time spent with his family.
Jack is survived by his adored wife, Rose (Palmisano) DiPietro of Salem, NH; cherished son, Joseph DiPietro and his wife, Colleen of Salem, NH. His pride and joy were his two grandchildren: McKenna and Jack DiPietro both of Salem, NH; loving siblings, Angela, Maria and Oliva DiPietro, all of Sicily. In addition, he will also be missed by his loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen. The family respectfully requests that all attendees follow current Covid-19 guidance, including face coverings and social distancing. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
