Trudy P. (Heppner) Lindley, 95, of Methuen, MA, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, with her family by her side. Born in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion (Osborne) Heppner.
Trudy was raised and educated in Illinois and came to Reading, MA, in 1965. She was a devoted, loving mother, raising her six children to have faith in themselves, live by the Golden Rule, and to not fret the small things. Trudy is known to many as being "one of a kind." Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, attending their very special life moments, and getting people to laugh through songs, jokes, and being the life of the party.
Some of Trudy's favorite activities, included: talking on the phone with her children and grandchildren, shopping on QVC, playing poker, watching Jeopardy, betting on professional football games, and trying to guess the winning lottery numbers. She was even an amateur ten-pin bowler in her youth and once bowled a perfect 300 game!
Trudy is survived by her children, Robert Lindley and his wife Theresa of IL, David Lindley of AR, Richard Lindley and his wife Julie of Wakefield, Gregory Lindley of Methuen, Pamela Lindley of Bradford, and Debra Jones and her husband William of ME. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Wakefield.
