Geraldine M. (Sciacca) Rydle passed away at High Pointe Hospice House on March 5, 2020. She was born in Lawrence, MA, to Laura Larco Sciacca and Carmelo Sciacca.
Gerry retired in 2010 after twenty-five years with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover and Methuen, MA. She served as a steward for the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter Sixty-eight. Gerry was also a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, and also a member of Lodge 902 Order Sons of Italy.
She was the mother of Gina A. Rydle and Laurie C. Gauthier; and aunt of special nephew, Jack A. Roy and his wife Joan Hatem Roy.
Gerry was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Balogh and her granddaughter Charlotte A. Abbott. She leaves her loving grandchildren, Holly A. Gutierrez and her husband Martin Gutierrez, Angela C. Ciccone and her husband Christopher Ciccone, Daniel A. Gauthier and his wife Jessica Gauthier, and Joseph R. Gauthier; her very loving great-grandchildren, Ariana Pena, Nicholas Abbott, Julia Abbott, Angelo M. Gutierrez, Valentina Ciccone, Seraphina Ciccone, Hunter G. Gauthier, Riley P. Gauthier, Conroy C. Gauthier, Tatum Gauthier, special niece and nephew, Taylor J. Roy and Austin Sciacca; brother-in-law, Andrew Balogh; and many cousins and friends. She leaves very special neighbors and friends Destiny Roman, Robert and Shiela Miele, Matt Miele and Jen Miele.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours. Entombment will be in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
