Georgette Gagnon

Georgette (Lajoie) Gagnon, 87, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Friday, November 23, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice House surrounded by her family. Born in Nortre Dame-du-lac, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Napolion and Luciene (Morin) Lajoie.

Fifty-four years ago, Georgette moved her family and became a permanent resident of Lawrence. For many years she worked for Loren Product Company and New York Toy. Spring was a sign of new beginnings for her because she loved gardening. She had an open door policy for family and friends. Her favorite day of the week was Soup Sunday, when friends and family gathered for soup and to talk about old times.

Georgette enjoyed to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored her pet cat “Little Mitten” and enjoyed watching the Millionaire TV show, Family Feud and her most favorite channel to watch was the Catholic Mass which she watched twice a day.

Georgette is survived by her children, Andre Gagnon and his wife Sheila, Rino Gagnon and his wife Michelle, Francine Vaillancourt and her husband Andrew, Joanne Lambert and her fiancé Richard Pape, Huguette Sott and her husband David, and Dennis Gagnon. She also leaves six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. Burial will be in West Parish Cemetery, Andover.
