George E. Guillmette, Jr., of Florida, formerly of North Andover, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Hanna Dustin Nursing Home in Haverhill. He was born in Lawrence and was the son of the late George and Cecile (Cyr) Guillmette.
George was born and raised in North Andover and resided in Methuen. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. George worked as a certified welder for many years and was known as a hard worker who always did his best to provide for his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anna (Gallo) Guillmette and his siblings, Elaine and Paul Guillmette.
George is survived by his sons, George, III and his fiancé, Samantha Caruso of Plaistow, NH and Eric and his wife Ashley of Salem, NH; sisters, Carol Steele and her husband George of Salem, NH, Beth Grandner and Lori Porter and her husband Tim all of Florida; and his grandchildren, Alec, Andrew, and Ayden. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
