Gail Y. Padellaro

Gail Yvonne (Taylor) Padellaro, 84, of Newburyport, MA, formerly of Fort Pierce, FL and Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Padellaro, Sr. and the daughter of the late Lloyd B. and Edith L. (Vraa) Taylor.

A graduate of Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Gail moved to Washington, DC after high school worked for the federal government and met the love of her life, Joseph. They were married for 52 years.

Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed time with her family, puzzle games, reading and sitting on the sun deck at her home on Plum Island.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph A., Sr.; son, Michael J. Padellaro; and brothers, Donald Taylor and Larry Taylor, Gail is survived by her four loving children, Jacki A. Corea of Wakefield, Joseph A. Padellaro, Jr. and wife Mary-Ann of Newburyport, MA, David Padellaro of Maine, Jeffrey Padellaro and wife Laurie of Plaistow, NH; daughter-in-law, Beth Padellaro of North Andover, MA; her sister, Ila Mae Bounds of WA; her brother-in-law, Anthony Padellaro and wife Carol of Lawrence, MA; sister-in-law, Constance Aziz of Salem, NH; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In her life, Gail advocated for the less fortunate and in that spirit, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail’s name to: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home at 11:00 AM immediately following visitation. Burial will be in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
