Frederick W. Rabideau, 84, of Methuen, MA, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA. He was born on March 16, 1936 to the late Warren Rabideau and Hannah (Joyce) Butters.
Raised and educated in Everett, MA, Frederick was a graduate of Everett High School, class of 1955. On May 21, 1960, he married the love of his life, Sandra. Together they raised their family and settled in Reading, MA, before ultimately residing in Methuen. He enjoyed fishing, boating, most especially building model boats, camping, traveling, and above all, spending as much time possible surrounded with his family.
Frederick was a very sweet, genuine, and smart man, and will always be remembered for being a private person who appreciated his family and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Frederick was predeceased by his siblings, Helen, Whilmina, Lois, Anne, and Patty.
Frederick is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra A. (Shea) Rabideau of Methuen; loving children, Carolyn A. Dubois of Methuen and Thomas Dubois of Lawrence, Jeanne Miller and her partner, John Alessandro of Methuen, Ellen A. Murphy and her husband, Michael of Goffstown, NH, and Edward W. Rabideau of Methuen; siblings, Diane Williamson of CA, Sandra Baptiste and her husband, Calvin of CA, and Joyce Britton of FL; cherished grandchildren, Kathleen St. Pierre and her husband, Mathew, Amy Dubois, Michael Dubois and his wife, Hannah, Kevin Miller, Daniel Miller, Hannah Miller, John Lawson, Robert Lawson, Krystle Rabideau, Tyler Rabideau; and great-grandsons, Hunter St. Pierre & Cole William Rabideau. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 6, 2020, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen.
