July 31, 1978 ~ January 27, 2024 (age 45) 45 Years Old

Tribute

“The measure of a man is in the lives he's touched.” - Ernie Banks

Freddy Espinal, 45, of Lawrence, MA, left this world too soon on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

For Freddy, humor, respect, loyalty, friendship, and love meant everything. He loved with his whole heart.
The family, friends, and coworkers that were dearest to Freddy created all the wealth in the world.

Born on July 31, 1978, in the Dominican Republic, Freddy moved to the United States in 1990.

He met his wife, Julissa, in New York. He charmed the Bronx native, and wooed her to Lawrence where
they created a beautiful life together. They married on April 30, 2011, and welcomed a daughter, Sophia,
in December 2014.

For more than 20 years, Freddy worked at Charles River Laboratories. His actual job duties were always
in question, as he heard numerous jokes about the animals he encountered from family and friends.
However, the job that he loved the most was that of a devoted papi. Sophia was the light of his life; he
was front and center at every gymnastics practice and music recital, ready to celebrate and spoil her. As
a husband, he was more than just a partner, he was a best friend. However, his real special talent was
driving Julissa crazy by not listening the first or second time.

Those who loved him know that Freddy was always ready to lend a helping hand as he was a jack of all
trades. His other talent was being the recorder at every gathering, capturing the joy that surrounded
him. Freddy’s other interests included camping and collecting firearms.

Freddy leaves behind a legacy of deep love for the family he grew from the hearts of those that made
the time to truly know him.

Freddy was preceded in death by his father, Modesto Espinal. He leaves behind by his wife, Julissa Jerez Espinal; daughter, Sophia Rose Espinal; mother, Francisca Espinal; sister, Andrea Chavarria; brother-in-law, Armando Chavari; sister, Zoraida Ortega; brother-in law, Hilario Ortega; sister, Fladia Paulino; brother-in-law, Carlos Paulido; brother Franklin Espinal; sister-in-law, Yesica Espinal; brother, Delio Espinal; sister-in-law, Albertina Espinal; brother, Alcadio Espinal; sister-in-law, Maria Espinal; sister, Maxima Espinal; and sister, Alberta Espinal. He also leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, countless cousins, and friends that became like family.

Thank you, Freddy, for the contributions you made in life. Thank you for your support, laughter, and
most of all your love and devotion to your family. You were truly one of a kind.

Freddy will be laid to rest at Bellevue Cemetery following services at Cataudella Funeral Home.
