Tribute

Frank Emilio Verdolotti, 93, of Haverhill, MA, passed away on December 14, 2020, following complications from the coronavirus.

Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Frank was the son of the late Emilio and Antoinetta Verdolotti. He attended Lawrence High School and after graduation, he proudly served in WWII as part of the Occupational Forces in Germany. Frank attended night classes for Engineering at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA. He worked at Western Electric in North Andover for twenty-seven years before retiring in 1985. He and his wife spent their winter retirement years in Florida.

Frank was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He had a passion for wine-making, a craft that he learned from his uncle, Felice, and father-in-law, Antonio. Frank continued this tradition in both his homes in Lawrence and Methuen, and carried on this custom in his daughter’s home in Haverhill for many years.

Frank was a devoted husband and loving father who was always there for his family throughout his life. He gave his love unconditionally to his “Dolly” Dorothy and to his “Three Little Dollies,” Carolyn, Beverly, and Barbara.

He was predeceased by his wife of over sixty-nine years, Dorothy, who passed away earlier this year; his beloved daughter, Marilyn; sister, Phyllis; and brother, John.

Frank will be sadly missed by his three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Scott Williams of Florida, Beverly and Brian Mackie of Haverhill, and Barbara and Tom Coco of Hampton Beach. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Taryn Matatall and her husband Chris of Florida, Kierstyn DeWolfe and her husband Paul of Methuen, Dan and Mike Coco, and Brian Mackie Jr.; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mackenna, Mia, and Marisa.

At the request of the family, all services were private and burial with military honors was held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445 or www.cancer.org/donate.
