Flora Gibeau

Flora (SanAntonio) Gibeau, 92, of Methuen passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at her home.  Born in Lawrence on July 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Martone) SanAntonio.

Flora was raised and educated in the Lawrence Public School System.  Upon meeting her beloved husband, Harvey, after World War II, she focused on being a mother, homemaker, and her work. She worked as a troubleshooter at Modicon and Wang Laboratories. She loved her family, friends, and the door to her home was always open to everyone. Her home was a source of warmth and love to others, as she lovingly enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time cultivating flowers and watching the birds. Flora cherished her Italian heritage, but most of all she loved being American. She had a great appreciation of the USA and was very patriotic. She honored all that served our nation, including her husband, and was very involved in her local DAV. A woman of faith in life everlasting, and the youngest of seven children, she adored her brothers, Louie, Matty, Ugo and Tony and sisters, Betty and Ida (Sister Benedicta), all deceased. Being a mother and grandmother was the focus of her life and she was proud of the various accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband, Harvey J. Gibeau, Flora is survived by her children, Joseph Gibeau and his wife Ronda of Auburn, NH and Carol Perrotta and her husband Dennis of Pelham, NH; grandchildren, Debra Setterlund and her husband Jay, Cheri Hadaichuk and her husband Brian, Steven Perrotta and his wife Mindy, Olivia and Maria Gibeau; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Setterlund and Owen Perrotta.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence.  Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
