Evan Joseph Therrien, 29, of Amesbury, MA passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. Evan was born in Methuen on July 22, 1988, the son of Mark Joseph Therrien and Lori Jo (Sapienza) Therrien.
He graduated from Amesbury High School, class of 2006. Evan loved spending time with family and friends, most especially, his adoring son, Gennaro. They spent many hours in the fort they built together in the back woods. Evan was a true entertainer, with a charismatic personality who loved to dance and sing. He was also a gifted athlete who played football from Pop Warner through high school. Evan fought a long courageous battle with depression and is now at peace. He will be very dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Evan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Joyce (Cataldo) Sapienza; and paternal grandmother, Theresa (LaBranche) Therrien.
Evan is survived by his son, Gennaro George Therrien of Lowell; parents, Mark J. and Lori J. Therrien of Amesbury; companion, Jessica Kahil of Lowell; brother, Ethan Mark Therrien and his companion, Nikki Crawford of Amesbury; paternal grandfather, Joseph Therrien of Zephyrhills, FL. He also leaves behind several uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 3:00 -7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Hope Community Church, 11 Hale St., Newburyport, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Evan’s memory be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness at info@nami.org.
