Elizabeth P. Brewster, formerly Elizabeth Martino

Elizabeth P. Brewster, 89, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Gladys M. (Pickard) and Dana A. Brewster, Sr.

Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, Elizabeth graduated from Haverhill High School and later attended nursing school. After working several years at Bon Secours Hospital, she worked in private home care for more than twenty years.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed being with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Most memorable to her were her annual trips to British Columbia to visit her sister and her family. She also loved trips to the beach, her cats, and she really loved going out for ice cream.

Elizabeth was a sweet, Godly woman who loved the Lord. She was a fierce prayer warrior. An avid reader, she enjoyed reading her Bible with pen in hand underlining her favorite verses. She taught her children to pray and to trust God daily in every situation.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her sons, Michael Martino and Paul Martino; her brother, Dana Brewster, Jr.; and sister, Muriel Marcinuk.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Cindy Saab of Salem, NH, Frank Martino of Hampstead, NH, and Linda Moriarty and her husband Mark of Salem, NH; her beloved grandchildren: Brittany Saab, Tommy Saab, Erin Beach, Sean Moriarty, Todd Moriarty, Michael Martino, Jen Boudrow, Frankie Cloyd, Regina Rotoli, and Jason Martino; several great-grandchildren; as well as her former husband and friend, Bennie Martino.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge LA 70816. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care Elizabeth received in their care and for the compassionate nurses from Amedisys Hospice.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation hours on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland, MA.
