Elena T. Iannuccillo

Elena Iannuccillo, 89, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away on March 2, 2019, following a brief illness. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Onesta (Paulino) Iannuccillo.

Educated in the Lawrence school system, Elena earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Boston University in 1951. She was a second grade teacher in the Lawrence public schools for over thirty-five years, retiring from the Leahy School in 1988. She was passionate about teaching her students how to read. She traveled extensively with her teacher friends and finally relocated to Florida in 2006.

Elena was predeceased by her brother, Anthony D. Iannuccillo. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Iannuccillo; niece, Mary Ellen (Rob) Hamilton of Parkland, FL; and nephews, Michael Iannuccillo and John (Ann) Iannuccillo of San Francisco, CA; as well as many cousins who remain in the Merrimack Valley. She also had four great-nieces/nephews: Tara Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Ava Iannuccillo, and Sophia Iannuccillo.

A mass was celebrated in Florida. A private burial at the family’s convenience will be at Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
