E. Robert Cote

Elie Robert Cote, 86, of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital Saturday night, June 2, 2018 surrounded by family.

Mr. Cote was born on June 16, 1931 in Lawrence, MA to Elie and Lumina (Blanchette) Cote. On August 12, 1951, he married Monica (Germana), his wife of fifty years, whom passed away in June 2002. Bob worked as a brakeman at Boston & Maine Railroad, where he retired in 1992. He also served in the United States Air Force and received five honorable medals. He loved to cook, collect, and spend time with friends and family. He also looked forward to his morning coffee visits to McDonald’s to see his buddies.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Candace (Cote) Croteau of Salem, NH, Robyn (Mike) Beirne of Andover; his son, Alan Cote of Newton, NH; his grandchildren, Katelyn (Jonathan) Goddard, Jason (Jennifer) Croteau, Erin Beirne, Ryan Beirne, Matt Beirne; his great grandchildren, Cullen Croteau, Noella Croteau, and Violet Croteau; and his brother, Joseph Norman Cote. He was predeceased by his sisters, Reina (Cote) Parks and Georgette M. (Cote) Cross.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all.

At the request of the family, all services will be private.
