Dorothy May Calderone

Dorothy May Calderone, 90, a lifelong resident of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on December 4, 2022, at High Pointe House, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Welch) Borucki and wife of the late Anthony Calderone.

Born and raised in Methuen, Dorothy attended Ashford School. She worked for many years at Nissen's Bakery. She met and married Anthony, who built the home where they raised their family. Later in life, she and her husband would retire to a converted condo at the same Ashford School they both attended.

Dorothy’s family meant the world to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them. She loved to cook and she enjoyed picnics, the beach, travel, movies, dining out, shopping and watching sports, especially the Patriots. She was very sociable and loved to talk.

Along with her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Calderone; her brother, George Borucki; and her beloved grandson, Craig A. Mckenzie.

Dorothy will be deeply missed and is survived by her children: Linda Calderone-Mckenzie of Danvers, MA, Thomas Calderone and his wife Sharon of Portsmouth, NH, and Anthony Calderone, Jr. of Methuen, MA; grandchildren, Sarah Calderone and Anthony Calderone; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Audriana, Ava, Shayla, Anthony, Aidan and Allie; as well as her great-great-grandchild, Romeo; her two godchildren, Tracey Borucki Correia and Jimmy Fontaine; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, 47 East Derry Road, Derry, NH.
