Donald Stanley

Donald Stanley, 87, of Andover, MA passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at The Meadows at Edgewood in North Andover.  Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Arthur and Addie (Scanlon) Stanley.
 
Don was raised and educated in Lynn.  He moved to Lawrence and worked for Lawrence Maid Footwear early on in his adult life, and also worked as a property manager for Prudential Insurance on Essex Street in Lawrence. He retired after a number of years with Raytheon Corporation. 

A hard working and devoted husband and father, Don loved spending time with his family especially during the summer at their home in Seabrook Beach, NH. He was a diehard Boston sports fan and an avid golfer, playing at Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen during his working years, and at Ballantrae Golf Club at his winter residence in Port St. Lucie, FL during his retirement years.
 
Don was predeceased by his eldest son, John A. Stanley; his brothers, Arthur, Charles, and Albert Stanley; and his sister, Barbara Corso.
 
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lillian M. (Almoian) Stanley; his son, Donald D. Stanley and his wife, Debra of North Andover; sister, Patricia Anketell and her husband, George of Chester, NH; and his grandchildren, Derek, Devin and Dawne Stanley; along with several nieces and nephews.
 
At the request of the deceased, all services will be private for direct family members only.  Arrangements are by Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
