Diane S. Marcinonis

Diane S. (DeRoche) Marcinonis, 64, of Sanford, Maine, formerly of Andover, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Southern Maine Health Center in Sanford, Maine.  She was born in Andover and was a graduate of Andover High School.

Diane enjoyed working for many years as a meeting and exhibit planner for the C.R. Bard Company.  For the past 15 years she has lived in Sanford, ME and loved her career providing health and life insurance to small businesses. In both positions, Diane expressed finding the most joy in her relationships with her clients. Professionally and personally, Diane was as creative as she was focused. Diane provided her family and friends with generations worth of knit blankets and sweaters. When she took a break from working and creating, Diane also enjoyed relaxing on the coast of Maine with friends and family and at Jenness Beach in Rye, NH. She was most proud of her sons, whom she called her “greatest achievements,” as well as her nieces and nephews, and treasured her time with them. Diane will be remembered for her ambition, humor, and most of all, her kindness.

Diane was predeceased by her father, Armand DeRoche.

She is survived by her mother, Eleanor (Christison) DeRoche of NH; sons, Michael Marcinonis and his wife Natalie of MA and James Marcinonis of CA; sisters, Judith Donahue and her husband Robert of NH and Joyce Thibodeau and her husband James of MA; brothers Steven DeRoche and his wife Mary of NH and Gary DeRoche of MA. She also leaves neices Tori DeRoche and Danielle Thibodeau, and nephews Jacob Thibodeau, Joseph DeRoche, and Andrew Thibodeau, as well as several close friends.
