Delia Borrelli

Delia Borrelli, 99, of Lawrence passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Preziosa (Leonardi) Borrelli.
Ms. Borrelli was raised and educated in Lawrence.

Delia worked for forty-one years as a seamstress at Grieco Brothers. She loved to play cards, sew, and play bingo. Being surrounded by her niece and great- grandnieces/nephews is what made her most happy. She was also a member of St. Rita Sodality, Lawrence Ladies Lodge, Sons of Italy, and Venerini Auxiliary.

Delia was predeceased by her beloved brother, John Borrelli; niece, Dorothy Detora; and nephew, Michael Borrelli.

She is survived by her niece, Shirley Detora of North Andover; and several great- grandnieces/nephews, extended family members, and friends as well her very dear friend, Mary Barberi.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mary Immaculate, Floor 3B for their amazing care given to Delia during her stay.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday April 9, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 10th at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Entombment will be in St. Mary – Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Delia’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
