Daniel A. Croteau, 67, of Manchester, NH, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack on Friday evening, October 2, 2020, surrounded by his immediate family.
As a young man, Daniel was a member of the US Air Force Reserves and the US Army Reserves. He worked as an Operations Director at Shawmut Bank (formerly Arlington Trust) for most of his career. He was a selfless person who spent much of his time helping others whenever possible. Much of his life was spent putting pride in everything he did; he was the jack of all trades. He was also very proud of his family, including nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, their accomplishments, and who they grew into.
Danny enjoyed recanting stories of yesteryear. He loved driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee and going for scenic car-rides, especially along the ocean, and going out for coffee at Dunkin’ and McDonald’s. He always loved joking around--even in the hospital--he just had to pass gas, lift the sheets, and say, “Air raid!”
He was predeceased by parents, Roger Croteau and Corinne (Savoie) Croteau; brother, Roger; brother-in-law, Kevin LeMay.
Danny was a family man who leaves behind his wife, Candace (Cote) Croteau; his son, Jason and daughter-in-law, Jen Croteau of Pelham, NH; his daughter, Katelyn and son-in-law, Jonathan Goddard of Plaistow, NH; sister, Donna LeMay of Atkinson, NH; nieces, Tricia, Erica, Erin; nephews, Matt, Jeff, Ryan, Matt; adored granddaughters, Noella, Violet, Nova; his cherished grandson, Cullen; and grand-dog, Chewy. In addition, he also leaves behind sister-in-law, Robyn Beirne; and brothers-in-law, Mike Beirne and Alan Cote, of Newton, NH .
In lieu of a service, we ask that you please celebrate his life by purchasing a scratch ticket and enjoying a Dunkin’ coffee sometime this week.
