Constance Napolitano
April 7, 1948 ~ October 4, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old
Constance Rita (Guerrera) Napolitano, 73, of Lawrence, MA, passed away on October 4, 2021, at Newton- Wellesley Hospital, after a short illness. Born on April 7, 1948, she was daughter to the late Salvatore Guerrera and Rita (Zazzo) (Guerrera) Pappalardo, and stepdaughter to Joseph Pappalardo.
Connie was born and raised in Lawrence, where she graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Bryant- McIntosh Business School. A devout Catholic and dedicated parishioner of St. Patrick Church, Connie worked as a Pastoral secretary for several years. She founded and devoted over 30 years of her life to the church’s Giving Tree program and volunteered at Cor Unum Meal Center, where she served the area’s homeless and less fortunate. After raising her family (and all the other neighborhood kids), she pursued a career at Raytheon, where she worked as an executive assistant for over twenty years. Connie cherished spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and she took joy in hosting holiday gatherings. Her homemade marinara sauce and legendary meatballs were staples that brought the family together every Sunday. Connie’s family and faith were her world, and she would move heaven and earth to help the people she loved. A feisty Sicilian to the very end, Connie’s wry sense of humor sparked laughter and will supply material for stories for years to come. Though her loved ones carry broken hearts, they take comfort knowing that Heaven just became a lot louder and much funnier place.
Along with her father, mother, and stepfather, Connie is pre-deceased by her siblings, Nicholas Guerrera, and Grayce (Guerrera) Wasson.
Constance will be deeply missed by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Frank Napolitano, children, Christine (Napolitano) DiStefano and her husband John DiStefano, of Salem, NH, Cara (Napolitano) Green and her husband Kenneth Green, of Lawrence, MA, Dr. Frank Napolitano, Jr. and his wife Nicole (Bourassa) Napolitano, of Radford, VA; and grandchildren, Michael Lavoie, Allyson Lavoie, Jacob Green, Lily Green, Abigail Napolitano and Dominic Napolitano. Connie is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Connie’s family asks anyone paying their respects to wear face masks at all services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Saint Patrick Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence. Entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
