Constance H. Carney

Constance (Langille) Carney, 92, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home In Fremont, NH. The daughter of Duncan and Mary Ellen (Langan) Langille. She was born and raised in Methuen.

A graduate of Searles High School, Connie received her teaching degree at Lowell University. She taught school for 50 years, first at Ashford School then first grade at St. Monica’s in Methuen. A compassionate teacher, she loved all the kids she taught and treated every one of them equally. She was a lifelong member of St. Monica Parish.

Connie is survived by her son, James of Fremont; sister, Grace McKay; and sister-in-law, Claire LeSaffre, both of Methuen; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James; daughters, Colleen and Cathleen; brother, Duncan Langille, Jr.; and sisters, Catherine O'Sullivan, Verna Miville, and Barbara Beaver.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Colonial Poplin for the wonderful care given to Connie over the past two years. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Monday, May 17, 2021, from 3:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
