Concettina (Ardizzone) Privitera, 100, of Methuen passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen surrounded by her loving family. Born in Biancavilla, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Alfio and Caterina (Verzi) Ardizzone.
Mrs. Privitera was raised and educated in Sicily and came to Lawrence in 1974 and later moved to Methuen. She worked as a seamstress for Bronzetti Clothing in Lawrence for many years.
Mrs. Privitera loved her family very much. She enjoyed Sunday dinners with them, baking fresh bread and cookies, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Privitera lived with her daughters, Agatina and Maria, who took loving care of her every day and for many years until her passing.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giovambattista Privitera and her children, Antonio Privitera and Caterina Privitera.
Mrs. Privitera is survived by her children, Agatina Privitera, Maria Privitera and Giuseppe Privitera all of Methuen, Alfio Privitera and his wife Donata of Milan Italy and Salvatore Privitera of Biancavilla Sicily. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be in Biancavilla, Sicily.
