Claudia F. Stevens, age 60, of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully Friday, March 19, 2021, at Holy Family. Born on December 8, 1960, in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Margaret (Munro) Stevens and the late Frank D. Stevens.
A graduate of Lawrence Public Schools, Claudia was a proud mother and grandmother. She worked over thirty-five years in the accounts payable department for Sheehan Brothers.
There are so many kind things that can be said about Claudia, she had a big heart, reliable, always ready to help, generous, animal lover, great laugh, sense of humor and was the Queen of Everything. She loved sunrises at the beach and one of her famous quotes was “feet in the sand, drink in the hand.” Her greatest pleasure came when she was taking care of rescue animals where she volunteered her time at Salem Animal Rescue League in Salem, NH and supporting Peace and Paws, where she rescued her dog, Belle. Next to her family, animals were her greatest love.
Claudia also enjoyed sleepovers with her grandchildren, kick boxing classes, German fries, going up to camp, comedian Bob Marley, and attending the Big E every year. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas where she enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces of her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Reina" or "Nini.” Even though she had a big heart and a kind and loving personality she was not a fan of Big Brother. She deeply loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Claudia is survived by her daughter, Christl Newsome; her three grandchildren, Danielle, Geremy, and Conner; her sisters, Sharon Salemme and her husband Thomas of Laconia, NH, Nancy Armeen and her husband Ben of Merrimack, MA, Heather Plunkett and her husband Jim of Andover, MA, and Alison Mammino and her husband David of Methuen, MA; and her brother, Alec Stevens of Center Barnstead, NH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
