Christine N. (Lawton) Dubois, 86, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at The Courville at Manchester. She was the beloved wife of Joseph V. Dubois with whom she shared sixty-nine wonderful years in marriage.
Born in Lawrence, MA, Christine was the daughter of the late Daniel and Olive (Rubert) Lawton, and attended Lawrence schools. She was employed at Cedar Crest Restaurant in Lawrence, and dedicated twenty years of service to the familiar faces who frequented the restaurant. She later enjoyed a fourteen-year career at Raytheon until her retirement.
In 1978, Christine and her husband, Joseph, relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where they enjoyed the atmosphere and the company of their friends. They made many memories at various casinos. In 1981, they moved to the beautiful beaches of Florida, but missed their New England way of life. A year later, they returned and settled in Derry, NH. When the opportunity arose in 2000 to work at Walt Disney World, they chose to move back to Florida to work there until 2001, and then once again, returned to Manchester, NH.
With a passion for travel, Christine and Joseph traveled to many locations in North America. At times, their friends would join them and made wonderful memories. She also had a deep passion music, and was often heard singing her favorite songs.
Christine will be remembered for being a wonderful and loving wife.
She was predeceased by siblings, Evelyn Maycock, Daniel Lawton, and John Lawton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert Dubois, Yvette Godoni, Jeanne Bradish, Robert Dubois, and Victoria Legault.
In addition to her husband Joseph, Christine is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise Mitchell, Rose Whitney, Alphonse Dubois and his wife Deborah, and Helen Cody and her husband Russell; brother-in-law, Clayton Legault.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit on Monday, November 21, 2022, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
