Christine Anne Bolduc

Christine Anne Messina Bolduc passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 14, 2019. Cancer claimed Christine’s body but never claimed her heart, soul, and spirit.

The daughter of Peter and Ruth Messina, Christine was born in Lawrence, MA on September 23, 1970. Christine, along with her two siblings, Andrea and Peter, were raised to believe that love, faith, and family were the keys to a joyous life. Peter and Ruth also instilled the importance of treating others as you would want to be treated. They also emphasized that a good solid work ethic would bestow many blessings. Christine lived her life as she was raised, with love and compassion, and most of all, with laughter and joy.

Christine attended St. Monica School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She then went on to the University of Lowell and graduated with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and ended up doing her internship at the Anna Jaques Hospital. Wisely, the hospital then offered her a full-time position. Christine would remain employed with the facility for the next twenty-two years until she could no longer physically do her job due to her illness.

Christine was born to be a mother and after she met her husband on a blind date, they courted rather quickly and got married two years later. She would then get her wish two years after that and became a mother. Be careful what you wish for because Christine was blessed with twins; Thomas and Samuel. She then had two more children, Anna and Faith. Christine raised her children as her parents raised her, with love, so much love.

Christine’s passions in life were simple: she loved the Arts, Theater, trips with her family, and a good book. She was caught once or twice reading a Harlequin Romance novel. Christine loved being with her family and her friends and liked nothing better than to throw a party. She was also quite the host, making sure that there was plenty of food to eat and things to do. She would even invent games so that all would be included.

Survived by her husband, Paul C. Bolduc, and their four children: Thomas Douglas, Samuel Peter, Anna Rose, and Faith Elizabeth, Christine is also survived by her parents, Peter and Ruth Messina; her sister, Andrea, and her husband John; her brother, Peter Messina, II and Stephanie Habib, along with many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Our family would like to extend thanks to Christine’s friends in the Physical Therapy Department at Anna Jaques’s Hospital, along with a very special thank you to Janine.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Christine’s life by gathering for calling hours at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, between the hours of 4:00-8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Lucy’s Parish located at 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen on Wednesday, June 19th at 9:00 AM. Burial services will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street in Methuen.
