It is with great heartache and sorrow that the family of Chloe McHardy announces her passing on February 6, 2021. She was born August 10, 1999, in Methuen, MA, graduated high school in 2018, and attended Landmark College. Chloe was truly one of a kind, a beautiful unique and empathetic person. Her smile and her distinctive laugh were adored by all who knew her. She was honest and caring and she was funny and smart. She had a wild and adventurous spirit and her sense of humor and likable personality paired with her desire for fun and adventure made her a true and loyal friend. Chloe was an amazing dancer and participated in recitals and competitions growing up. She loved the ocean and the beach and loved being in the water so she was always happy to host her friends by the pool. She loved movies and film. She was social and fun and loved spending time with friends old and new who were never in short supply. Her favorite time of year were holidays spent at her home surrounded by food and family and love. She was so very loved and will be missed dearly.
Chloe is survived by her parents, John and Lisa McHardy; her grandparents, Jack McHardy, Carol and David McBride, and Edward F. Smith, Sr.; aunts and uncles: Chris McHardy, Melissa McHardy, Edward F. Smith, Jr., Jayna Smith, Jeanine Smith, Johanne C. Smith and Laina Smith; and her cousins: Matthew McHardy, Alexis Arsenault, Shannon Smith, Carly Smith, John Roberts, and Bianca Roberts. She was pre-deceased by her grandmother, Johanne Smith.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen. Her service will be private for her family. Chloe will be laid to rest at Eternal Light Mausoleum in Salem, NH.
As of the most recent update, we are able to offer visitation periods and funeral services in the funeral home or at a church.
