Chebl E. Khalil, 75, of Lutz, Florida, passed away May 11, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lutz, Florida. Born in Homs, Syria, he was the son of the late Elias and Mahassen (Naoum) Khalil.
Mr. Khalil was raised and educated in Syria and Lebanon and came to Methuen, MA in 1967. He worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a social worker until his retirement. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence. He will be remembered as a loving and caring man, who enjoyed telling a good story and hosting for any occasion, surround by friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Nabila (Kassis) Khalil; sons, Carl Khalil and his wife Maureen of Methuen, Jason Khalil and his wife Melissa of Newton, NH, and Rafi Khalil of Lutz, FL; brother, Ramsis Khalil of Lawrence and sister, Majdoline Ash and her husband Ibrahim of Methuen. His pride and joy were his six grandchildren, Dylan, Jared, Tyson, Kailyn, Laila, and Daniel.
Mr. Khalil was predeceased by his brother, Fahd Khalil.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
As of the latest update, we are able to offer visitation periods and funeral services in the funeral home or at a church.
