Charles R. Taylor, 101, of Methuen and Warwick, RI passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Methuen. He was born in RI, the son of the late Richard and Cassie (Brown) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor lived in RI for the greater part of his life. He was raised in North Tiverton, and graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School and also attended Brown University. He worked for many years as a toolmaker for the Brown & Sharpe Tool Company in Providence, RI. He moved to St. Petersburg, FL where he owned and operated a car wash for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Neola (Long) Taylor and his siblings, Lillian, Lloyd, Arnold, and George Taylor.
He is survived by his sister, Lorraine Stringer of Methuen and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held towards the end of visiting hours in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Lakeside Cemetery, Providence, RI.
