Charles “Charlie” J. Sammons, III, 78, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill. He was born in Binghamton, NY. He was the son of the late Charles J. Sammons, Jr. and Catherine (Petkash) Sammons.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Josephine M. (Tecce) Sammons of Methuen; his loving children, Charles J. Sammons, IV and his wife Lynne of Houston, Texas, and Jodi R. Feil and her husband William of Haverhill; and cherished grandchildren, Zackary and Braedon Sammons and Alexander and Olivia Feil. Charlie also leaves his brothers, John Sammons and David Sammons both of Florida, Thomas Sammons of North Carolina, and Steven Sammons of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and James Sammons.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11 am at St. Monica Church, 214 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
