Charles A. Coco

Charles (Charlie) Coco, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. Charlie was the beloved husband of Patricia (Elia) Coco for fifty-one years.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Dieterle and her husband, Rick and grandsons, Charlie and Jackson of Windham, NH. He is also survived by son, Christopher and his wife Sandra and granddaughters, Angelica and Adelisa of Los Angeles. Charlie is survived by his sister, Prudence Maczuba and her husband Raymond of Haverhill; and brother, Frank of Augusta, ME; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Anthony P. and Mary D. (Annaloro) Coco.

Charlie graduated Tenney High School in 1960 and went on to Saunders Electronics. After working at Avco, he became a hairstylist with his dad at Coco’s of Andover for several years. He subsequently took over the family business, Capilo’s School of Hair Design in Lawrence. After retirement, he worked as a commercial real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Haverhill until the present time.

Charlie was loved by all who knew him, but family was the center of his universe. He loved being with his grandchildren and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have had him in their lives. He never refused anyone a helping hand. He also loved playing bocce at the Sons of Italy in Methuen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen.
