Catherine Ciardello

Catherine (Loffredo) Ciardello, of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 8, 2019.

Catherine was born and raised in Lawrence, MA, and was the daughter of the late Maziglio and Florinda (Caraccio) Loffredo. She was a graduate of the 1936 Lawrence High School class and was a lifelong resident of the Merrimack Valley. Catherine was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church and a member of Saint Rita’s sodality.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She dearly loved her family and friends. Catherine had a great sense of humor; her contagious laugh coupled with a quick wit brought joy to so many lives.

It gives comfort to Catherine’s family knowing she had a joyous reunion with loved ones as they welcomed her to her heavenly home.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Victor Ciardello, and brothers: Frank and Louis Loffredo.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mary Immaculate Restorative Center for all the love and care they gave to Catherine.

Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her son, Victor Ciardello of Methuen; daughter, Beverly Borrelli and her husband Anthony of Methuen; granddaughters: Allessandra Ciardello Morris of Peru, Dr. Maria Borrelli of Boston, and Carla Borrelli of TN; and great-grandchildren, Nathalie and Roy Morris.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence. The family requests that those attending the services please meet at the church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
