Carole A. Charles

Carole A. (Benson) Charles, 83, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill.  She was born in Stoneham and was raised and educated in Charlestown.
 
Carole worked as a teller for Bay Bank and later retired from the Haverhill Treasury Department where she worked as a clerk.
 
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter L. Charles who passed away earlier this year. 
 
Carole is survived by her children, Paula Wood and her husband Stanley of Methuen, Dennis Charles and his wife Janet of Indiana, and Walter J. Charles and his wife Terrie of Florida; brothers, Roy Scally of Chelsea and William Scally and his wife Lorraine of Revere Beach.  She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass at 11:00 am on Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen.  Burial will be held at 1:00 pm in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.  By the request of the family there will be no visiting hours.  Arrangements are by Cataudella Funeral Home, Methuen. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
