Carol M. Stoia

Carol M. (Werner) Stoia, age 73, of Methuen, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Alice M. (O’Mara) Werner.

Born and raised in Somerville, MA, Carol, the youngest of five, graduated from Somerville High School in 1964.

Carol had a love for photography and was most often found capturing many great photos. Over the years she amassed quite a collection, of which her favorite were centered on nature. Always up to date on the long list of current novels, Carol was found many a day spending as much time as possible enjoying the latest she had added to her collection, as reading brought her so much peace.

In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her siblings, Mary M. Jensen, Richard Werner, John J. Werner; and her nephew, Michael Werner.

She is survived by her son, Daniel W. Stoia and his wife Sharon of Lowell, MA; grandchildren, Dylan Patrick Stoia and Arielle M. Gonzalez; sister, Charlotte Gesling; nieces and nephew and their families, Linda, Darlene, Joan, Thomas, Karen, and Sharon.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol’s family from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass for Carol will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Methuen.
