Carmelo “Charlie” Cuscia, 97, of North Andover died peacefully on Friday at Sutton Hill Center.
Born in Methuen in 1921, he was one of eleven children born to the late Salvatore and Carmela Cuscia.
Charlie served in the Army during WWII after which he was employed by Plumbers Local 283 for 40 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, horse racing, boating, and spending time with family playing checkers and 45s.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Corrine and his grandson, Aaron.
Charlie is survived by his five children, Robert of Salisbury, Ronald S. and his wife Joanne of North Andover, Cynthia Guvelis and her husband Gus of Conway, NH, Gary and Teri of Tuftonboro, NH, and Keith of Deering, NH; his six grandchildren, Brian, Ronald M., Christopher, Alex, Ella and Sophie; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Julia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2-4 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Interment will take place on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
