Carla M. Friedrich

Carla M. (Paolino) Friedrich, 62, of Methuen died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was born in Methuen on July 21, 1956 to the late Carl and Sandra (Faro) Paolino.

A graduate of Tenney High School, class of 1972, Carla received her degree in education from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She was employed for many years in the banking industry as Human Resources Director at Lawrence Savings Bank. More recently, she was employed in cataloging, accounts payable, and the Children's department at Nevins Memorial Library for the last fifteen years.

Carla was president of The Friends of the Nevins Library and was recently appointed to the board of the Methuen Credit Union. She was past Committee Chairwoman for Boy Scout Troop 51, Methuen and was a past and active member of the Methuen's Tenney Preservation Association, which was instrumental in preserving and protecting the Tenney Estate. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, baking, and vacationing in Maine.

Carla is survived by her husband, David K. Friedrich of Methuen and her son, Erich Friedrich of Bristol, RI. Also among her survivors are her aunt Millie Silva; mother-in-law, Beverly Friedrich; brother-in-law, Mark Friedrich and his wife Geralyn of Methuen; and sister-in-law, Marsha Friedrich, all of Methuen. Carla is also survived by two nephews and two nieces.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday June 5, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be offered on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, also in Methuen.
