Brian J. McKenzie

Brian J. McKenzie, longtime Methuen resident, died peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in the comfort of his home at the age of 49.  He was the son of Ilene McKenzie and the late Paul McKenzie, Sr.

Born and raised in Methuen, Brian attended Methuen High School, graduating class of 1987.  Following his graduation, he began working for Market Basket and then Stop N Shop as a grocery clerk, and as a result will be remembered by many for his friendliness and for his smile. In his free time he enjoyed playing cards, the game of 45s in particular, and reading about sports and politics.  He most enjoyed time spent with his family, especially during the holidays.

In addition to his mother Ilene, Brian is survived by his sister, Tracy Sheehan of Methuen, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Paul McKenzie, Jr.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, September 23, 2019, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
