Barry J. Jackson, Jr.

Barry J. Jackson, Jr., 62, of Merrimac, MA died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley in Haverhill, MA. He was born in Lawrence on January 17, 1957 to the late Barry and Carolyn (Cann) Jackson.

Raised and educated in the Lawrence school systems, Barry was a graduate from Lawrence High School, class of 1975.He was a shipper receiver at Crusader Paperboard, Inc. for over forty years.

Barry married the love of his life, Deborah in 1981. He was dedicated to his family and his loved ones. He loved his family, most especially being a father. Barry’s passions in life were simple. He could often be found taking care of his yard from summer through winter and attending Special Olympics events with the Haverhill Stars. He was an avid fan of all Boston sports, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He loved to just sit outside on the beach, day or night. Most of all, he loved being with his family and his friends. Barry always tended to his family’s needs first and foremost and was a much loved father and husband.

Barry is survived by his wife, Deborah A. (Ryan) Jackson of Merrimac; his children, Erin Nicole Jackson and her partner, Adam Rubinstein of Portsmouth, NH, and Matthew Ryan Jackson of Merrimac; his siblings, Debra L. Letourneau and her husband, Ronald of Methuen, and Scott G. Jackson and his wife, Lisa of Edmond, OK; brother-in-law, James Ryan; sisters-in-law, Carol Ryan and Anne Patoka. Also among his survivors are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel.
