Barbara R. Naroian

Barbara Ruth Naroian, 76, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on June 1, 2023, at Nevins Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 16, 1946, she was the daughter to the late Harry and Sara (Takvorian) Derderian.

Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, Barbara graduated from Lawrence High in 1964, before attending Lowell Tech, where she graduated with her Master’s Degree in 1968. She taught in the city of Lawrence for thirty- seven years. She married Richard in 1969 and they began their family together. Barbara was a proud member of the Women’s Guild of the Holy Cross Apostolic Armenian Church, as well as the Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe. In her free time, Barbara loved to read, watch sports, such as the Patriots and Red Sox, and go shopping, especially in Kittery, ME. She collected Annalee dolls and loved to spend time with her grandchildren more than anything. Barbara also enjoyed going out to lunch with her teacher friends and lady friends from church.

Along with her parents, Barbara is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of forty eight-years, Richard G. Naroian, and her daughter, Deborah Lynn Naroian.

Barbara will be deeply missed and is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey Naroian and his wife Suzy of Winchester, MA, and Jason Naroian and his wife Robyn of Methuen, MA; her beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Ara, Jack, and Kyle Naroian; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe, 1280 Boston Road, Bradford, MA, Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell Street, Methuen, MA.
