Arline Roy
May 29, 1929 ~ March 4, 2021 (age 91) 91 Years Old
Arline M. Roy, 91, of Lawrence, Ma passed away March 4, 2021 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill surrounded by her nieces Lisa and Rena. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella (Bourque) Roy.
Arline was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked in the Lawrence Mills and retired from Western Electric and Lucent Technologies where she worked for over thirty years. Attending daily mass and reciting the rosary was very important to her. She loved watching General Hospital, going out shopping, and enjoying coffee with her sisters.
Arline was a great cook and made delicious chili, beef stew, chop suey and chocolate cake. Her home was always open to family. She enjoyed many family gatherings and celebrations over the years with her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sutton Hill Nursing Center, Compassus Hospice, and High Pointe Hospice House for the wonderful care they gave her. Arline was predeceased by her siblings, Raymond, Rita, Constance, and Leo Roy, Julie Casey, Doris Proulx, Lucille Deshaies, Ella McGovern, and Rena San Antonio.
She is survived by her brother, Leonce Roy and his wife Marie of Lawrence, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, North Andover.
As of the latest update, we are able to offer visitation periods and funeral services in the funeral home or at a church. ·Please be mindful during visiting hours to keep your condolences brief so that others may offer theirs as well. ·Gathering in the lobby is not allowed so that we may adhere to health code mandates. ·Facemasks are required while inside the funeral home or church. ·Our staff is available for guidance.
