Aram C. Keleshian
June 22, 1927 ~ November 5, 2019 (age 92) 92 Years Old
Aram C. Keleshian, age 92, of Salem, NH and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of Alice (Demirjian) Keleshian with whom he shared sixty-three wonderful years in marriage.
Born and raised in Lawrence, the son of the late Charles and Zebel (Safarian) Keleshian, Aram graduated from Lawrence High School in 1945 and shortly after enlisted in the United States Navy to serve his country during WWII. In 1956, Aram and Alice married and continued to live in Lawrence where they started and raised their family until the couple moved to Salem, NH in 1980.
Aram loved to surround himself with good friends, something that became a tradition on Friday evenings. A very handy man, Aram enjoyed many hours working on cameras and in 1968 opened Optech Photo Service in Lawrence. He also enjoyed working clocks and watches and as a result became quite well-known for his skills for such repairs. He particularly enjoyed being able to spend time with his sons, teaching them all he had learned and felt blessed to be given the opportunities to spend so many hours with them.
In addition to his wife Alice, Aram is survived by his sons: Aram Keleshian, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Methuen, MA, Gary Keleshian and his longtime partner Karen Reed of Pelham, NH, and John Keleshian and his wife Kerry of Pelham, NH; grandchildren: Chris, John, Jr., Kevin, and Jackie. He was predeceased by his sister Betty Neal and his grandson Aram Keleshian, Jr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 15, 2019, between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday, November 16 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
