Anthony J. Pappalardo

Anthony J. “Tony” Pappalardo (or “T” or “Tony Baloney”), age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2021, in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of Barbara M. McGonagle.

The son of the late Mary B. (Mele) and Domenic J. Pappalardo, Tony was born and raised in Lawrence, MA, where he attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He later attended Merrimack College before he dedicated forty years at Raytheon Company in Andover, and retired as a Production Planner.

When not busy at work, Tony enjoyed the company of family and friends, especially all the little guys in his life who loved his truck, their Hess trucks, and the holiday lights in Tony’s beard. He enjoyed riding on his Harley, summers spent in York, ME particularly enjoying Nubble Light, and spending time on Eagle Beach in Aruba. Time was set aside every day to work on crossword puzzles. He also loved the teachers and children of the Cashman Elementary School in Amesbury where he has volunteered since his retirement and was known as “Mr. Tony.”

In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lou (Pappalardo) DeMille, formerly of Pelham, NH.

He will be missed by his siblings, Susan A. Pappalardo and her fiancé Paul Davis of Salem, NH and Samuel J. Pappalardo of Salem, NH; nephews, Domenic J. Pappalardo and Luca P. Pappalardo, both of Salem, NH.

Honoring his wishes, his family will hold services for Tony in private with the assistance of Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen.
